THERAPIST BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

By proceeding with a therapist booking through OpenDiary, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
 

1. Platform Role
 

OpenDiary, operated by Kian Community Private Limited, acts solely as a platform that enables users to discover and connect with mental health professionals.

OpenDiary does not itself provide therapy, counselling, psychiatric treatment, diagnosis, medical services, or healthcare services.
 

2. Independent Professionals
 

Therapists listed on OpenDiary are independent professionals.

They are not employees, agents, partners, representatives, or affiliates of OpenDiary or Kian Community Private Limited.

All professional services are provided directly by the therapist.
 

3. Information Sharing
 

By submitting a therapist booking request, you authorize OpenDiary to share the information you provide, including:

  • Name

  • Mobile number

  • Email address

  • Preferred appointment date and time

  • Notes and concerns voluntarily submitted by you

with the selected therapist for the purpose of facilitating your requested appointment.
 

4. Direct Therapist Relationship
 

Once your booking request is shared with the selected therapist, all communication, scheduling, consultation, therapy sessions, recommendations, advice, treatment plans, and professional interactions occur directly between you and the therapist.

OpenDiary is not a party to the therapist-client relationship.
 

5. No Guarantee of Availability
 

OpenDiary does not guarantee:

  • Therapist availability

  • Appointment confirmation

  • Response times

  • Session scheduling

  • Continuity of services

Therapists may accept, decline, reschedule, postpone, or cancel appointments at their own discretion.
 

6. No Guarantee of Outcomes
 

OpenDiary makes no representations or warranties regarding:

  • Therapist qualifications

  • Suitability for your needs

  • Quality of services

  • Professional advice

  • Treatment outcomes

  • Results of therapy sessions

Individual experiences and outcomes may vary.
 

7. User Responsibility
 

You are responsible for evaluating whether a therapist is suitable for your personal needs.

You are encouraged to independently assess any advice, recommendations, treatment plans, or guidance provided by a therapist.
 

8. Medical Emergencies and Crisis Situations
 

OpenDiary is not an emergency service.

Therapist bookings should not be used for urgent medical, psychiatric, or crisis situations.

If you are experiencing:

  • Suicidal thoughts

  • Self-harm risk

  • Immediate danger

  • Psychiatric emergencies

please contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis support service immediately.
 

9. Payments
 

Payments collected for therapist bookings facilitate the connection between users and therapists.

OpenDiary may retain a platform fee for facilitating bookings.

Users acknowledge that a portion of the booking amount may be paid to the selected therapist.
 

10. Cancellations and Refunds
 

Refunds, cancellations, rescheduling requests, missed appointments, and no-show situations shall be governed by the applicable therapist policy and any booking terms communicated at the time of booking.

OpenDiary reserves the right to determine refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis where required by applicable law.
 

11. Limitation of Liability
 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenDiary and Kian Community Private Limited shall not be responsible or liable for:

  • Therapy sessions

  • Professional advice

  • Diagnoses

  • Treatment recommendations

  • Therapist conduct

  • Therapist negligence

  • Therapist availability

  • Communication between users and therapists

  • Outcomes arising from therapy services

Any claims relating to professional services must be addressed directly with the therapist providing those services.
 

12. User Acknowledgement
 

By proceeding with a booking, you acknowledge that:

  • OpenDiary is only facilitating a connection between you and a therapist.

  • Therapy services are provided directly by the therapist.

  • OpenDiary is not providing healthcare, therapy, counselling, or medical services.

  • OpenDiary is not responsible for professional advice, recommendations, or outcomes arising from therapy sessions.

  • You have read and agree to these Therapist Booking Terms & Conditions.
